Every year 46-58 million square miles of forest are lost. That’s equivalent to 36 football fields every minute! Forests play such an important role for our Earth. They store carbon, regulate atmospheric gases, stabilize rainfall and provide homes to 70% of the world’s plants and animals. 

The United States has less than 5% of the world’s population, yet consumes more than 30% of the world’s paper. 700 pounds of paper are used by the average citizen every year. The coffee industry contributes to this consumption, with filters, packaging, disposable to-go cups, sleeves, wood stirrers and sugar packets. At Earth Bean Coffee we make every effort to reduce, reuse & recycle, but acknowledge that we are still part of the problem. By planting a tree for every order, we also become part of the solution by helping to reforest our planet one order at a time.
